Toxteth building secured after collapse

An old chip shop in Toxteth has been secured after collapsing on Monday night.

A building in Toxteth has now been secured after collapsing on Monday night.

Police were called at 7.45pm by a member of the public to report that the front of a disused property on High Park Street had collapsed onto the pavement.

No-one was in the property at the time and there were no injuries.

Structural engineers from Liverpool city council spent Monday night at the scene together with fire crews from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service

High Park Street was closed at its junction with Voelas Street and Rhiwlas Street but it has now been re-opened.

Liverpool City Council say there is no concern for
