Teen charged over city centre crash

A 16 year old boy has been charged with dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance after a crash in Liverpool city centre last night.

A 16 year old boy has been charged with dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance after a crash in Liverpool city centre last night.

Officers were contacted following reports that a silver Ford Focus was being driven erratically around Liverpool.

The vehicle failed to stop when requested by officers and following a short pursuit was in collision with a silver Ford Fiesta on Myrtle Street at the junction of Grove Street at 9.15pm.

The driver of the Focus was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and road document offences.

Four people sustained minor injuries in the collision.

He's since been charged with dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance and has been bailed to appear at Liverpool & Knowsley Youth Court on Tuesday 9th August.
