Demolition teams are back in Seaforth after yesterday's failed attempts to bring down a tower block.

A controlled explosion was carried out on Sunday morning (24th April) to demolish two empty tower blocks.

Crowds who had gathered to see them come down were left disappointed though when nothing happened!

A few hours later, one of the towers did fall but the other remains standing.

People living within the exclusion zone surrounding the tower had to be put up in hotels overnight because it wasn't safe for them to return home.

Engineers are back at the site this morning to finish the job, specialist equipment is being brought in because explosives used yesterday didn't work.
