32 year old Gemma Flannagan was left paralysed after developing a rare illness four years ago. She now requires regular need of a wheelchair.

Despite that, Gemma continued to persue her dream of heading down the catwalk. Back in March she took park in Manchester Fashion Week.

Now, she alongside Models of Diversity have launched a Government petition calling on the fashion industry to employ models with disabilities.

She said: "When I was in hospital, I was looking through magazines and there was nothing that represeneted me anyone"

"No one should feel like that, we buy the clothes, so why shouldn't we be represnted from the companies we're buying from"

"1 in 6 people in the UK has a form of disability, but in the fashion industiry there's nothing that reprsents that at all, so our petition is calling for models to have representation in fashion as well"
