Police have released CCTV after armed robbers attacked former Liverpool FC owner David Moores in his home near Southport.
The honorary life president of the club was left needing hospital treatment after being attacked by men wielding crowbars at his home in Halsall in March.
Police say the men stormed the property and demanded cash and jewellery.
An appeal has been made on BBC's Crimewatch programme this morning.
Speaking on the program, DC Michael Mason from Lancashire Police said: "We believe this to be a targeted attack, which took place on Mr David Moores"
"He was home alone watching the Manchester City v Liverpool match when shortly before half time he was attacked by two masked intruders and robbed in his home address.
"Once they're inside they subject him to a sustained attack they take him upstairs lock him in a bathroom, leaving him bleeding from his injuries before stealing items of property."
"Mr Moores described them as white males, one of them spoke with a north west accent, however the second offender was trying to speak in an Eastern European accent but possibly disguising an English accent."
