Merseyside Police has released CCTV of a man they want to speak to after the robbery of a bike from a 13-year-old boy in Toxteth. At around 3.30pm on Monday, 22 August, a man riding a light grey mountain bike approached the victim, who was out on his own bike. The victim was pushed from his bike and the bike was stolen. The man pictured is described as dark skinned, in his 20s, of proportionate build, with a dark coloured beard and no moustache, wearing a grey hoodie with white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and light grey shoes. The bike is described as a Carrera Vulcan mountain bike, with a black frame and grey and lime green parts. Detective Inspector Steve McGrath from Liverpool CID said: "We are appealing for anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself, to contact police immediately. "For a young teenager to be threatened and robbed of his property in broad daylight has understandably left him shaken and upset, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries. "I would ask anyone who knows the man in the images or who has seen this bike in the area since to search their consciences and help us bring the offender to justice." Anyone with information is asked to call Liverpool CID on 0151 777 4010, call 101, or the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
