9 Year Old Boy With Cerebal Palsy Handed Everton's Goal Of The Month Award
A 9 year old boy with cerebal palsy has beaten the likes of Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley to win Everton's Goal of the Month Award.
George Shaw from Ellesmere Port was invited to score a goal in front of the Gladwys Street at the Blue's home tie with Swansea last month by Gerard Deulofeu after he saw a video of him playing the game.
George said: "It was brilliant, walking up the tunnel, hearing the fans screaming was just amazing. When I hit it, the fans just roard. It was brilliant to see everyone supporting me"
Today he was welcomed to Finch Farm to meet Roberto Martinez and some of the players - as well as picking up the trophy.
George is detiremined that his condition won't get in the way of his dream of playing football, and has hopes someday of competing in the Paralympics.
He said: "I love playing football. I hope other people with cerebal palsy can see what I've acheived and they can achieve what they want to too."
