WATCH: First Game of Thrones season 6 teaser trailer premieres
Excitement is building ahead of its return!
WARNING: Story contains spoilers.
Five months before the biggest show on television returns to our screens, HBO have unleashed the first teaser trailer for Game of Thrones season 6!
Speculation is rife about whether Jon Snow will be brought back to life by Melisandra and, despite featuring heavily in the 41-second clip via archive footage, unfortunately we still don’t get any answers.
The teaser opens with the enchanting voice of the Three-Eyed Raven himself Max von Sydow, saying: “We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written, the ink is dry.”
Set to suitably ominous music, what we get next is short snapshots of the biggest moments of the first five seasons, including Ned Stark’s beheading, Joffrey’s poisoning, Jaime Lannister having his hand cut off and White Walker leader Night’s King reanimating fallen Wildlings and men of the Night's Watch.
It ends with Bran, who was largely absent in season 5, saying: “They have no idea what’s going to happen.”
Tantalising stuff!
Still filming in various locations across the globe including Northern Ireland, Croatia, Game of Thrones season 6 is shown in the UK on Sky Atlantic this April.
