Flooding affects Cumbria as Storm Ciara hits

Police in Eden have shared pictures of flooding at Cliburn Mill:
Storm Ciara has hit and has caused problems in parts of Cumbria & South West Scotland this weekend.
In Appleby the flood sirens have been sounded to warn residents:
A plea for sandbags has been issued in Morland in the Eden Valley:
There are problems in South West Scotland too. The River Nith has burst its banks and flooded the road at Whitesands in Dumfries:
As things stand there are no severe flood warnings in our area, but the Environment Agency has listed lesser level warnings for places where flooding is expected here:
