CUOSC board member Carol Wilson said: “It’s a cause very close to my heart as my father came from Ukraine, and whatever we can do to help now is really important.

“Carlisle United fans are always amazing when help is need for a deserving cause.”

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “We hope our fans can help with donations for the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine right now.

“We are supporting local efforts like this and also via the EFL to support the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through the British Red Cross.
