Man assaulted by three men in Carlisle

Attack happened on Lightfoot Drive in the city.

Police are investigating a reported GBH level assault involving four men.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 22nd June at approximately 8pm on Lightfoot Drive, Carlisle.

The report is of a man being hit and kicked but three other men.

A van and a scooter or bike may also have been at the scene.

A 39-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of attempted GBH. He has been released under investigation.

A man in his 30’s was taken to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. He has since been discharged.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen anything suspicious or witnessed the incident, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or other footage.
