Man killed by falling tree in Cumbria during Storm Arwen

A man from has died after being hit by a fallen tree in Cumbria.
Police and other emergency services were called to a serious incident on Vicarage Road, Ambleside at 11pm yesterday (26 Nov).
The man who was from Lancaster was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers remained at the scene whilst the tree remained dangerous, and the public were asked to avoid the area until the tree had been made safe.
Storm Arwen brought gusts of almost 100mph to some parts of the UK overnight, causing road closures, train delays and power cuts across the country.
