This will keep us entertained

Fleur East will host a brand-new Saturday night game show on ITV. The singer and radio presenter will be joined by Diversity star Ashley Banjo - and now, she's given us all an update on what the show will be like, as it begins on Saturday 10th July.

What is The Void?

Until now, all we knew about the new show, named The Void, was that it will see contestants attempt to avoid falling into a giant water tank. Now, however, Fleur has elaborated a little, claiming: "It's like a hybrid between Total Wipeout and Gladiators, like fused together."

Those taking part will face mental and physical challenges whilst trying not to fall into The Void, a 520,000-litre water tank which stretches across the arena floor. Speaking on The One Show, the star also said: "It is hilarious when they fall in the water. It's so funny."

The programme is being produced by the same team behind hit show The Cube, and is due to be on our TV screens later this year.

When does The Void start?

The brand new series kicks off on Saturday 10th July at 8pm.

What channel is The Void on?

The Void will air on ITV and the ITVHub.

The winner of each episode will take on The Void once again in the final with the chance to win the £25,000 prize.

Who is hosting The Void?

As well as Fleur East, Diversity star Ashley Banjo will also host the show.

Ashley Banjo said, “I literally cannot wait to get started on this one! The concept is so simple...can you cross ‘The Void’ and reach the prize on the other side? But if the brains behind ‘The Cube‘ have anything to do with it (which they do of course) it will be anything but simple! It’s also the first game show I’ve been lucky enough to host and all alongside the amazing Fleur East, which is another thing I’m buzzing about. So all in all, there’s no doubt in my mind this is going to be immense!”

Fleur added, “I am really excited about hosting this show, the concept is epic! Created by the same genius behind The Cube which is a show I love. Also getting to work alongside Ashley is amazing, he’s so talented and it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”

How long is The Void on for?

ITV have commission 7 x 60 minute episodes of The Void, meaning the show will run all the way up until Saturday 21st August 2021.

Each episode will last for 60 minutes.

Where is The Void filmed?

The show will be filmed at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

What does the winner of The Void get?

The winner of each episode will take on The Void once again in the final with the chance to win the £25,000 prize.
