'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' is going to a big seller!

Eminem is on course to score one of 2013’s fastest selling albums with ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’.

Since going on sale yesterday (Tuesday 5th November), the prequel to 2000’s seminal ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ has sold an impressive 73,000 copies in the UK making it a dead cert for number one.

When 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' tops the chart on Sunday it will be the 41-year-old rapper's sixth consecutive chart topper.

Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’ currently holds the fastest selling artist album of 2013 title with a tally of 165,000 copies in seven days– a figure Eminem could yet surpass.

According to the Official Charts Company, James Arthur’s self-titled debut had been sitting pretty at number one on Monday but it has now been leap-frogged by Eminem.

It’s not all bad news for The X Factor winner though. ‘James Arthur’ is outselling Tinie Tempah’s Demonstration (at no.3) by two copies to one and will definitely hold onto number two.

Former Westlife star Shane Filan is currently at number five on the Midweek Chart, while The Wanted are on to score another Top 10 album with ‘Word Of Mouth’.

The current Top 5 is as follows:

1. Eminem: ‘The Marshall Mathers LP2’ 2. James Arthur: ‘James Arthur’ 3. Tinie Tempah: ‘Demonstration’ 4. Andre Rieu & Johann Strauss Orchestra: ‘Music of The Night’ 5. Shane Filan ‘You & Me’
