Roxanne Pallett leaves the Celeb Big Brother house

Carlisle actress Roxanne Pallett has decided to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house. It comes after the furore over her claims that Ryan Thomas was violent towards her in Thursday night's episode of the show.

The backlash also seems to have prompted the decision to take down Roxanne's Twitter account and has involved many celebrities coming out in support of former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas:

Roxanne grew up in Currock, Carlisle and attended Robert Ferguson Primary School and Trinity School. She found fame in 2005 playing Jo Sugden on Emmerdale opposite Kelvin Fletcher who played her husband Andy Sugden.

During her time on the soap she was nominated for sexiest female, best actress and best storyline awards. She has been the face of domestic violence charity Refuge's Early Warning Signs campaign and has done voluntary work for Eden Valley Hospice.
