Did One Direction's Liam Payne have a 'meltdown'?
Reports say the pressure got to him
It's rumoured the real reason One Direction cancelled a gig this week is because member Liam Payne had a ‘meltdown’.
On Tuesday night the audience of the sold-out show in Belfast were told the band wouldn’t make an appearance, just moments before the boys were due to go on stage.
The boys apologised on Twitter after the event saying that Liam had fallen ill.
There was no word from Liam though, which prompted the fans to voice their concerns online.
Liam broke the silence a day later to thank the supporters for their well wishes, before joining the band on-stage in Belfast.
Reports today suggest the real reason for the 22-year-old's absence could be that he had a 'meltdown'.
An insider told a national newspaper that the singer had suffered symptoms similar to a panic attack because the pressure of being famous had become too much for him. It’d apparently gotten so bad that he felt he couldn’t perform.
There’s been no official word yet from the band, but we’re just glad Liam’s back.
