Chris Rock to host the Oscars for the second time
He was a controversial decision the first time round.
Chris Rock will be taking to the Oscars' stage for the second time despite being a controversial choice back in 2005.
The comedian famously started the night saying "Welcome to the 77th and LAST Academy Awards!" but it clearly didn't do too much damage as they asked him back.
Speaking of Chris, producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said, “Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian – he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!”
Chris also took to Twitter to announce the news saying "look who's back."
Chris is best known as as stand up comedian having had a career that has spanned three decades across film, TV and stage. He has also been active behind the camera as executive producer on Everybody Hates Chris, an American sitcom based on his childhood.
Most recently Chris has directed a comedy special titled, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo.
The 88th Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood on the 28th February 2016 and televised across the world.
