Blake Lively reveals why she called her baby daughter James
Baby James was born in December
Blake Lively has revealed why she and husband Ryan Reynolds called their baby daughter ‘James’.
The 27-year-old actress was appearing on Good Morning America to promote her new movie The Age of Adaline when she revealed she picked the boys’ moniker.
She explained: “It’s a family name, and I liked having a boy’s name, so I thought I’d pass it on.”
Quizzed by viewers about any advice she would have for her daughter growing up, Blake responded: “If I could give her any advice it would just be ‘don’t let anyone tell you no. If something hasn’t been done before it doesn’t mean it can’t be done. You can be the first one.’
“It’s really empowering to see that. We never saw my mum… accepting ‘no’.”
Baby James was born in December 2014 two years after Blake and Ryan tied the knot at Boone Hall in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
The story of a woman who loses the ability to age thanks to a miraculous accident, The Age of Adaline hits cinemas in the UK on Friday 8th May.
