Tour de Yorkshire 2018: Road closures

The Tour de Yorkshire returns this weekend, with the riders passing through West Yorkshire on Friday before Leeds hosts the grand finale on Sunday.

This year the international cycle event has extended to 4 days for the men’s race, while the women’s race is doubling in size from one to two days.

We’ll bring you the all the details of the race throughout the day, but there are a few road closures you’ll need to know about if you’re planning on travelling around the area.

Along the route there will be rolling road closures, due to start and finish around 30-45 minutes before and after the race passes through. There will also be some longer-term road closures – you can find the full list for Leeds here.

Stage 1 - Thursday 3rd May:

Beverley – Doncaster

Women’s Race starts at 8.40am and is due to arrive in Doncaster at 12.08pm

Men’s Race starts at 13.50pm and is due to arrive in Doncaster at 18.08pm

Stage 2 – Friday 4th May:

Barnsley – Ilkley

Women’s Race starts at 9.00am and is due to arrive in Ilkley at 12.15pm

Men’s Race starts at 14.20pm and is due to arrive in Ilkley at 17.48pm

Stage 3- Saturday 5th May:

Richmond – Scarborough

Men’s Race starts at 13.10 and is due to arrive in Scarborough at 17.26

Stage 4 – Sunday 6th May:

Halifax – Leeds

Men’s Race starts at 12.10pm and is due to arrive in Leeds at 16.57pm
