Leeds United begin tour of Myanmar - but what do fans want to see?

As Leeds United begin their controversial tour of Myanmar - supporters say they want it forgotten and for attention to turn to improving next seasons chances.

They play their first friendly this lunchtime - but Leeds' plans for the trip were met by a storm of protest when announced at the end of last month.

Leeds MPs were among those urging the club to cancel the trip for ethical reasons.

Graham Hyde from the LUFC Supporters Trust says the tour could be good for strengthening the squad ahead of August:

"Definitely great opportunities for some of the younger players to get their moment, get that opportunity,

"Just hope that they can take it - mixing with some of the senior pros - to get the best out of this event."

The Whites play their first friendly against Myanmar National League All-Stars today - before coming up against the national side on Friday.

Graham explains what the fans want to see next:

"A post season tour is always a strange on in the first instance, but I don't think the destination has helped in any way, shape or form,

"However, I think in most fans cases I think they just want to put it to bed and move on.

"Closing down the tour, finishing the tour will be the best thing that will wrap up that season."

Club owner Andrea Radrizanni defended the trip in an open letter - saying he hoped it can have a positive impact on the communities they visit
