16 year old boy in a serious condition after city centre stabbing

It happened near Lovell Park.

A 16 year old boy was found with a stab wound in Lovell Park by North Street.

Police received a call shortly after 2pm when they were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending the incident.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance for emergency treatment and is in a serious condition.

A scene is in place in the park and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
