The pair, who are in their twenties and from Bradford, went missing over the weekend.
A mountain rescue team's been hampered by snow, fog and blustery winds - yesterday two members were caught up in an avalanche, although they survived.
Searches are underway for two West Yorkshire climbers missing in the Ben Nevis area.
Concern was raised yesterday afternoon (Monday 15th February 2016) for Rachel Slater (24) and Tim Newton (27) from the Bradford.
The following statement has been released by Police Scotland:
“As part of ongoing searches for two missing climbers in the Ben Nevis area, Police in Fort William are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area over the weekend to make contact. It is believed the couple camped in the vicinity of the CIC hut in a green tent and would have been wearing climbing gear, similar to the photo attached. Searches by Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team took place last night with further searches underway today with additional resources. Anyone who was climbing or walking in the Ben Nevis area over the weekend and saw the couple is urged to contact 101.”
