Mission (Christmas) Accomplished

23,000 families received gifts thanks to your donations

Families across Yorkshire who have been helped by Cash For Kids Mission Christmas are thanking everyone who donated.

Across Leeds and West Yorkshire more than 23,000 families have received a gift this year.

The 2016 Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal has raised an incredible £15,437,328 in gifts and cash, enabling us to support 362,694 disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK.

One of the places that gifts have been handed out is at a special Christmas party at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Little Hiccups is behind the party - they are a support group for parents of children with special needs.

Abi Griffin from the group told us;

"Thank you so much for donating the gifts. The children really appreciate it and the parents appreciate it. It is a way to make this day extra special and they all go off with a gift, we are really grateful. There are families here who wouldn't be able to afford the presents. We've got some families who have three, four or five children and just for them all to receive a gift like this, is extra special. As a parent with a child with a disability, it's good to know that the community is behind us and supporting us."
