Leeds Rhinos Face Challenge To Tame Tigers

Brian McDermott is expecting a tight affair when Leeds Rhinos take on Castleford Tigers at Headingly tonight.

The fixture will be the Rhinos second West Yorkshire derby in five days, having comfortably seen off Wakefield.

But McDermott thinks taming the Tigers won't be as easy

“During the game if you have a fella out of position defensively – they’ll find that hole they’ll find that bit of a blip in the defence and burn it.

“Some of the players they have and some of the structured players they have are very effective and we’ve got to be good, we’ve got to defend against them.

“We dust ourselves down we go against what’s going to be a really determined Castleford, who’s got a bit of momentum behind them at the moment, and they have got some wins under their belts over the last few weeks so this is a big game.”

The Super League leaders conceded 16 points in the final 10 minutes of their resounding win last weekend and McDermott wants a more professional performance in tonight’s match.
