A homeless hound from Dogs Trust Leeds has become the face of new app.
Dogs Trust - the UK’s largest dog welfare charity – has today launched Dogs Trust Doggy Dub, a ‘paw-neering’ new app in which users can record their voices over videos of past and present Dogs Trust residents.
Crossbreed Jack was chosen as the face of Dogs Trust Doggy Dub – a twist on the popular Dub Smash - coming first out of the 990 dogs the charity are currently caring for at their network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and Ireland.
Dogs Trust is launching the app as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations. Adrian Burder, CEO of Dogs Trust said: “At Dogs Trust we are always striving to find new ways of communicating the variety of the dogs in our care and we think Dogs Trust Doggy Dub does just that. Each dub created and each video shared is another conversation about rescue dogs and a fantastic way to ring in our 125th year.”
“We are thrilled that Jack has been chosen as the face of Dogs Trust Doggy Dub,” says Amanda Sands, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Leeds. “Jack is great with people, and we think that his personality really shows! He has already been chosen as the face of the new app, so we really hope that there is a family out there looking for their special someone, who will choose Jack as their canine companion.”
Being a young dog, Jack adores human company and toys, but isn’t keen on four-legged friends so will need to be walked in areas away from other dogs. He would be best suited to an adult home, and once he has had the time to settle in he could be left for short periods.
