A minute’s silence will be held before today’s council meeting in Leeds to remember those who died in Belgium yesterday.

Councillor Judith Blake, leader of Leeds City Council said:

“We are shocked and saddened by these attacks in Belgium, and would like to offer our deepest sympathies to all those affected by these truly terrible events. Our thoughts are with the people of Belgium at this very difficult time.

“A minute’s silence will be held before Wednesday’s council meeting as a mark of respect to all those people who lost their lives.”
