Purple Lights lit up the stadium through the night and will do so again this evening.
The superstar performed there in 2014 - one of only four UK arena dates.
Tony Watson, Director of Sales & Marketing at First Direct Arena said:
“When Prince played the Arena it was one of the most epic events we have ever experienced. I can’t remember a night where the atmosphere has been quite so electric. Tickets sold out in 95 seconds – we were very honoured to have him in the building.”
