Detectives who've spent more than a year investigating the serious sex assault of a woman in Leeds have put out CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

The 23-year-old victim was assaulted in Mint Nightclub on Harrison Street in the early hours of 15 February 2015.

Leeds District CID want to speak with anyone who can identify the man. They saythe incident has been under 'extensive investigation' over the past 12 months.

The victim was seriously sexually assaulted in a toilet cubicle by an unknown man in the early hours of the Sunday morning.

He left the club shortly afterwards, leaving the victim who reported the matter to the police.

Detective Inspector James Entwistle of Leeds District CID, said: "A number of enquiries have been ongoing into this incident over the last 12 months and extensive enquiries have been ongoing in West Yorkshire and with partner forces.

"We have progressed and exhausted a number of lines of investigation, and are now in a position to issue a picture of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

"The image was taken in Leeds on February 15 and we have been carrying out enquiries to identify the person pictured.

"This was clearly a very serious offence and I would ask anyone who can identify this man to contact Leeds District CID on 101 referencing police log reference number 13150063231."
