PHOTO: Jay Z Travels To London O2 Arena Gig By Tube
Coldplay's Chris Martin also joined him for the journey
More accustomed to private jets and chauffeur driven cars, Jay Z got down with the public on Saturday night by travelling to his London O2 Arena gig by tube.
The rap mogul left travellers star struck when he boarded the Jubilee Line tube along with his good friend and musical collaborator, Chris Martin of Coldplay fame.
Commuter Jamie Robb took to Instagram to share a photo of the unlikely passengers, writing: “What a riot… Just met Jay Z on the tube in London.”
Later that night, Chris Martin joined Jay-Z on stage at the sold-out O2 Arena show for a performance of ‘Heart of a City (Ain’t No Love)’.
Jay Z plays his fourth and final O2 Arena show tonight (14th October) wrapping up the UK leg of his sprawling Magna Carter World Tour.
The rapper isn’t the first high profile star to travel to their concert by tube. In 2011 and 2012, Rihanna boarded the tube to three separate O2 Arena shows to the excitement of her fellow travellers.
