The fashion industry has taken a lot of criticism over the years for using 'stick think' models as a way of debuting clothing collections. However during New York Fashion Week, two models in particular took to the runway to make a difference.

Ashley Graham is size 16 and proud of her curves. Madeline Stuart is the most successful model with Downs Syndrome. Both are helping the fashion industry become more inclusive.

Ashley Graham works as a plus-sized model and on Tuesday she showed off her lingerie collection at New York Fashion Week. After taking to Instagram to share her excitement and happiness at how well the show had gone she said “I am size sexy.”

Elsewhere at New York Fashion Week, model Madeline Stuart was owning the catwalk and making history by taking part in two campaigns.

On her website madelinestuartmodel.com it says, “Maddy really wants to change the way people discriminate against disability through gaining attention through social media. She wants people to know that Down Syndrome is a blessing, something to be celebrated."

She looked fantastic at the event and shared photos on Instagram of her on the runway and backstage having fun.

Both models looked stunning, helping to show the world that beauty cannot be defined by one look.
