American actress Zendaya has been presented with her very own Barbie doll
Earlier this year Giuliana Rancic's comments about Zendaya's hair in dreadlocks caused controversy.
Zendaya, who has featured in a number of TV and big screen roles, including Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' video has been presented with her very own Barbie doll.
The 19-year-old actress recently posted photos of the Barbie doll on Instragram saying, "when I was little I couldn't find a Barbie that looked like me, my...how times have changed."
She continued, "Thank you @barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty".
A Zendaya Barbie is significant as earlier this year Fashion Police presenter Giuliana Rancic caused controversy when she said the actress' hair, which was in dreadlocks at the Oscars, smelt of "patchouli oil" or "weed". Her comments resulted in fellow TV hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin leaving the show and a decision that the show would remain on hiatus until September.
