Man dies after being arrested over Wigan stabbing
The suspect was detained after police were called to Park Lane in the Leigh area last night

A man's died after being arrested by Greater Manchester Police in Wigan.
Emergency services were called just after 9pm last night to reports of a stabbing on Park Lane in Leigh.
We're told a male victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and that the suspect made off from the scene.
Officers managed to track him down and arrest him.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the suspect became seriously unwell a short while later.
Despite the best efforts of officers and emergency services at the scene, he died.
A cordon's been in place through the night and several roads in the area remain as police continue their investigation.
