West Midlands Police have shared an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the death of 12-year-old Keaton Slater in Coventry.

Keaton died after a car failed to stop at Radford Road in the northwest of the city at 4:30p.m. on Friday (June 16th).

Investigations are continuing to trace the driver of the black BMW that was involved in the collision, although one person has handed themselves into police.

Now, the force has appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of Dolars Aleksanders.

In a social media post uploaded by the force, they said: "The 21-year-old is wanted on suspicion of death by dangerous driving after a 12-year-old boy died following a collision in Radford Road, #Coventry on Friday (14 June)."

This comes after the family of the 12-year-old paid tribute to Keaton, describing him as "a fun-loving comedian" who "just wanted to make everyone laugh and smile".

"He was so beautiful inside and outside, our baby and little brother. Life can be so horrible," they added.

One other person has handed themselves into police and was voluntarily questioned by investigators. They have now been released pending further investigations.

West Midlands Police have said they have seized a black BMW that had been abandoned on Friday evening in the New Arley area.

The force confirmed that the car is being examined, whilst they appealed to the driver - or anyone else who was in the vehicle - to come forward as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, officers are continuing to review CCTV footage of the area at the time of the hit-and-run incident, whilst enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who may have seen Dolars Aleksanders is being urged not to approach the man, but instead to call 999 immediately and quote incident reference number 3407 from June 14th.
