Inquest into the death of ice hockey player who died in Sheffield suspended

An inquest into the death of ice hockey player - Adam Johnson - whose neck was cut during a match in Sheffield - has been suspended as police inquires continue.

The 29-year-old Nottingham Panthers player died after he was hit in the neck by a skate during a match against Sheffield Steelers last October.

A man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in November & has since been released on bail.

Following a review of the case today - the coroner confirmed the inquest has now been suspended until July - while South Yorkshire Police continue their investigations.
