85 year-old woman dies after collision on M6 near Kendal

The driver of a car involved in a collision on the M6 near Kendal has died.

Police were called to the scene on Thursday

8\5 year old Rita Thomas was involved in the incident with a bus. This happened at junction 37 of the M6.

The passenger in the car, who was also taken to hospital, remains in a stable but serious condition.

The bus driver was unharmed.

Police are continuing to appeal for information.
