Ben Burrell presents Monday to Friday in the 1pm-4pm slot on The No Repeat Guarantee, and listeners will know all about his love of Oasis and music in general. We sat down for a chat to find out more about Ben and his show...

From how to listen to him on Absolute Radio, to what to expect from his show and more, find out all about Ben Burrell right here.

Who were the first band that got you into music?

He told us: "Oasis! Which is incredibly on brand. My brother gave me a tape of 'What's The Story Morning Glory' and I couldn't believe how addictive the melodies were."

What is your most memorable gig?

Ben admitted: "Look, I'm not one of those 'Glasto people' who go to Glastonbury and think they become spiritually enlightened after having a 3am conversation at the stone circle, with someone who used to work for Goldman Sachs before they jacked it all in for a new life... BUT in 2004 the line-up was my favourite of all time. We saw The Killers in the New Bands tent and it really felt like you were watching a band become massive in front of your eyes," adding: "I didn't bother with the Stone Circle, by the way."

Who's the best guest you've had on the show and why?

"So many... But Richard Ashcroft was funny. It was a Zoom interview at 9am on a Monday, not the ideal time for a rockstar. When he connected to the call, he had huge sunglasses on and a cigarette on the go, and said 'let battle commence'. I asked him; 'how are you, Richard?' and he talked - and this is not an exaggeration - for 8 minutes on that question, without interruption! A king of the game."

What can we expect from your show on Absolute Radio?

Ben joked: "A sad little man airing his grievances and not repeating any songs."

Which song could be your exception to the No Repeat Guarantee?

"Bob Dylan - 'Like A Rolling Stone'."

LISTEN: Bob Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone':

Which Absolute Radio decade is your go-to?

An easy one for Ben, he told us: "00s. I'm a sucker for Indie Sleaze. PETE N CARL 4EVER."

What’s been your biggest highlight from your time at Absolute Radio?

"Covering the Breakfast Show. I always listened to that show at uni doing student radio, so in my head it's mad that I ever got to appear on it."

What is your favourite thing about presenting?

"It's the best thing in that you can have an idea at 1pm and put that on the radio within minutes. In most other mediums you have to go through lengthy commissioning or production processes, but radio is immediate. It's also a genuine thrill to see texts pouring in from the listeners, there's nothing better then when you get a big response to an idea."
