Watch Wolf Alice perform stunning live version of 'The Last Man On Earth'
Spine-tingling stuff
Wolf Alice have shared a sublime live version of their Absolute Radio playlisted anthem ‘The Last Man on Earth.’
The atmospheric live performance video, directed by Jordan Hemmingway, opens with Ellie Rowsell performing the track on a piano while surrounded by dozens of candles.
As the song builds in spine-tingling magnificence, Ellie’s Wolf Alice band mates Joel Amey, Joff Oddie and Theo Ellis appear out of the shadows alongside an orchestral string section.
Watch Wolf Alice perform ‘The Last Man On Earth’ live:
‘The Last Man On Earth’ is lifted from Wolf Alice’s third studio album ‘Blue Weekend’, which is released on Friday 11th June 2021 via Dirty Hit records.
The follow-up to September 2017’s Mercury Prize winning ‘Visions of a Life’ features 11 all-new songs across its 40 minutes.
Ellie Rowsell says of the record: “This album is for other people. Sometimes you hear a song and it makes you feel better, or you hear a song and it makes you feel seen. I remember feeling blue about something, and thinking, ‘I wonder what songs I can listen to that will be about what I’m feeling right now.’
“It was almost as if I was desperate to feel better about something, and I would go down any path to feel not alone in something, or to understand it more. And I’ve never really done that before intentionally, I’d never really sought it out.”
