The Wombats announce August and October 2022 UK tour dates
In support of new album 'Fix Yourself, Not the World'
Scouse-Scandinavian trio The Wombats have announced new UK & Ireland tour dates for August and October 2022.
Following the recent release of their chart-topping fifth studio album ‘Fix Yourself, Not the World’, The Wombats play fresh headline shows in Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin, Sheffield, Norwich, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester.
The octet of new concerts follow The Wombats’ previously announced April 2022, which includes a massive show at London’s The O2.
Tickets for the new shows go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 25th February. Any remaining tickets for the April tour are on sale now.
Featuring the Absolute Radio playlisted anthems 'If You Ever Leave I'm Coming With You' and 'This Car Drives All By Itself’, The Wombats’ new album ‘Fix Yourself, Not the World’ was recorded from the band members’ respective homes.
With frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy in Los Angeles, bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen in Oslo and drummer Dan Haggis in London, they discussed each day’s plan via Zoom, then recorded separately, sending individual files to producers Jacknife Lee, Gabe Simon, Paul Meaney, Mark Crew and Mike Crossey to mix into the finished tracks.
Dan Haggis says of the record: “We’ve explored new genres and pushed ourselves further than ever musically. It will always stand out for us in our memories from our other albums as we recorded it across three cities during lockdown, and we weren’t all in the same room at the same time.”
