The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett and Maxim have paid poignant tribute to their late band mate Keith Flint on what would have been his 51st birthday today (17th September).
Taking to the band’s social channels, Liam and Maxim posted four photos of Keith – two images of Keith performing live, another of him on a ship and a fourth featuring the trio laughing.
The Prodigy wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLINTY! We miss u so so much. U are in our thoughts every day. RAISE THE ROOF BROTHER, WE WILL FOR YOU ! X’”
Keith Flint died on 4th March 2019 in North End, Essex aged 49.
On Tuesday (15th September), The Prodigy posted an update from the recording studio, once again confirming they are working on new material.
Posting a photo of an Action Man wearing a helmet and clutching a pill, The Prodigy wrote: “Studio bizniz this month, back on the beats.”
Back in August 2019, Liam Howlett first confirmed The Prodigy were laying down new songs in the wake of Keith’s death when he wrote: “Back in the studio making noise .. brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll , boooom ✊🔥 #theprodigy #weliveforthebeats #weliveforever #cantstoptherock”
The Prodigy’s seventh studio album ‘No Tourists’ was release in November 2018 just five months prior to Keith Flint’s death.
Understandable, The Prodigy axed all touring commitments in 2019 including their headline slot on The Other Stage at Glastonbury. Liam Gallagher dedicated ‘Live Forever’ to Keith at the Worthy Farm event that summer.
