The Killers have announced the track listing for their upcoming album ‘Pressure Machine’.

The record is out next Friday (August 13th) and will include 11 tracks, one of which will feature a guest performance from alternative singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.

The Killers recently shared a short video clip of the new material that included the audio of a harmonica as part of their album teaser, followed by the announcement of the record's track listing.

The band shared via their Twitter page the statement: “11 days to go. 11 tracks on the record. Coincidence?” before revealing Phoebe Bridgers would collaborate with the band on the track ‘Runaway Horses’.

‘Pressure Machine’ will be the seventh studio album from the Las Vegas-based band, and follows closely behind 2020’s full-length release ‘Imploding The Mirage’.

Phoebe Bridgers is no stranger to The Killers’ catalogue, having covered the band’s music numerous times over the years. Alongside her bandmate Conor Oberst, the duo shared a cover of The Killers’ 2009 classic hit ‘Human’, in 2019.

As well as this, Bridgers also covered ‘Read My Mind’ at a collection of live shows in 2018 whilst performing onstage with the supergroup boygenius.

The band were able to collate the new material due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and will be released via EMI Records later this month. On the newfound downtime, frontman Brandon Flowers comments: “Everything came to this grinding halt, and it was the first time in a long time for me that I was faced with silence.”

He continues: “Out of that silence this record began to bloom, full of songs that would have otherwise been too quiet and drowned out by the noise of typical Killers records.”
