The Darkness add six shows to 'Permission to Land' 20th anniversary UK tour
All the original dates are sold out
The Darkness have added six dates to their ‘Permission to Land’ 20th anniversary UK tour after all the original dates sold out in three days.
Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Rufus Tiger Taylor are performing ‘Permission to Land’ from start to finish on the tour alongside other gems from their two-decade back catalogue.
With all nine shows announced last week sold out, The Darkness will now play additional shows in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham and Brighton plus a second night at London Roundhouse.
Tickets to the sextet of new shows go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 14th July.
Justin Hawkins previously said of the shows: “We, The Darkness, are delighted to announce that we’ll be hitting the road in the UK once again.
“To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Permission to Land, our set will include every song from our debut album faithfully reproduced (with additional clam notes and meanderings) in the order in which they appear on the record.
“We’ll also play all of your favourite Darkness songs from the rest of our illustrious and tipsy turvy career. It will be the best show you’ll see this year. I should know, I’m the singer and also a YouTube music expert.”
