Jack Black sang Oasis’ classic 1995 anthem ‘Champagne Supernova’ on the final date of Tenacious D’s UK tour in Brighton on Monday night (13th May).
During Tenacious D’s performance of ‘Double Team’ at their concerts, it has become a tradition for Jack Black to break into a snippet of a cover during the song.
In Dublin earlier this month, for example, he sang U2’s ‘Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of’, while in Manchester he tackled The Smiths’ ‘How Soon Is Now?’ and Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’ in Birmingham.
Other covers on Tenacious D’s tour have included Travis’ ‘Turn’ in Glasgow, The Beatles’ ‘We Can Work It Out’, and Led Zeppelin’s ‘Ramble On’ in Nottingham.
For the final night of the UK & Ireland tour at Brighton Centre, Jack Black tackled Oasis’ ‘Champagne Supernova’ with great aplomb.
