Last updated 31st Jan 2023
Wet Leg, Underworld, Courteeners and Kasabian have been unveiled as the big-name headliners of Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual Royal Albert Hall concert series.
Taking place from Monday 20th to Saturday 25th March 2023 at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall, proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Teenage Cancer Trust, the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer.
‘Born Slippy’ dance music titans Underworld have the honour off kicking the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall week off on the Monday night.
Underworld’s Rick Smith and Karl Hyde said: "It's such an honour and a delight and it's just really f---ing great to be performing for the wonderful Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall on 20th March."
On the back of an incredible past two years, Isle of Wight sensations Wet Leg will top a Wednesday night bill that also boasts CMAT and Honeyglaze.
Courteeners will play the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall series for a third time on the Friday night, and they'll be performing their Number 1 album 'St Jude' in its entirety plus the hits.
Leicester indie rock heroes Kasabian are performing for TCT for a fifth time on the Saturday night and Serge Pizzorno and co. will be joined by The Snuts.
Alongside the musical delights, Teenage Cancer Trust’s Evening Of Comedy line-up will also be announced soon.
Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall tickets:
Tickets for the Teenage Cancer Trust concert series go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9.30am on Friday 3rd February.
The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Teenage Cancer Trust Honorary Patron, and mastermind behind the gigs, said: “The generosity of the people who work in the music and comedy industries never ceases to amaze me.
“In this, our 21st year, after two years of artists having no shows at all, at a time where the only certain paydays are from live performances, artists are willing to give up their earnings from a London show.
“It shows us that miracles are everywhere, but if you cough or sneeze you'd miss them! “I'm happy to announce the Royal Albert Hall week for Teenage Cancer Trust!”
Katie Collins, Chief Executive, Teenage Cancer Trust, adds: “These amazing gigs and their fantastic line-ups help us change lives.
“Because of Roger, the artists, the teams who make these gigs possible and everyone who buys a ticket, we can make sure young people don’t face cancer alone and continue to provide the vital, expert care and support that is crucial for young people with cancer.”
Artists who have previously played the Teenage Cancer Trust concert series since 2000 include Oasis, Paul McCartney, Niles Rodgers & CHIC, The Who, Muse, Florence + The Machine, Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Take That, David Gilmour, Paul Weller and New Order.
