Sam Fender wins Best Alternative / Rock Act at The BRIT Awards 2025

Northeast purveyor of rousing heartland rock anthems, Sam Fender, has won the Alternative / Rock Act honour at The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard.
Absolute Radio is once again proud to support the Alternative / Rock Act category, and it was one of five genre categories that were open to a public vote via the official BRITs Whatsapp channel.
Fresh from storming to Number 1 with his critically lauded third studio album ‘People Watching’, Sam Fender triumphed in the category ahead of The Cure, The Last Dinner Party, Ezra Collective and Beabadoobee.
Sam Fender was previously named the recipient of the BRITs Critics Choice Award in 2019, and in 2022 he won Best Rock/Alternative Act.
Taking to the stage with his band at The O2 tonight (1st March), Sam Fender quipped that he's "not as drunk as last time" three years ago.
Honouring his band mates, he said "without them I'm just mad person shouting at walls."
