Sam Fender
Author: Scott ColothanPublished 22nd Nov 2024

Having sold out his 2024 arena tour, Sam Fender has announced a trio of massive UK stadium concerts for next summer.

The North Shields singer, who is currently riding high on the Absolute Radio playlist with his towering anthem ‘People Watching,’ will play the biggest headline show of his career at London Stadium on Friday 6th June 2025.

Following this, Sam Fender will head home for two shows at his beloved Newcastle United’s stadium St James’ Park on Thursday 12th and Saturday 14th June 2025. Sam previously played two gigs at the stadium back in 2023.

The 75,000-capacity show at the London Stadium will be Sam’s first stadium headline date outside of Newcastle.

Tickets go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9.30am on Friday 29th November.

£1 from every ticket sold will be donated back into select cultural organisations such as Youth Music and Sunday For Sammy to support the arts in the North East of England.

Who is supporting Sam Fender at his UK stadium shows?

CMAT supports at all three shows, and The War on Drugs will also play on 6th and 14th June.

The War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel produced Sam Fender’s new album ‘People Watching’ alongside Sam, his bandmates Dean Thompson and Joe Atkinson, and producer Markus Dravs.

‘People Watching’ is released on Friday 21st February 2025 via Polydor Records.

The visually powerful album cover is an image captured by the late-great Tish Murtha, a social commentary photographer who documented marginalised communities and working class life in the North East.
