Red Hot Chili Peppers and 13 more confirmed for NOS Alive 2021

Portuguese music extravaganza NOS Alive has announced the first wave of artists on the 2021 line-up.
The 2020 edition of NOS Alive was due to kick off today (Wednesday 8th July) with the likes of The Strokes, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Faith No More on the hyper-eclectic weekend bill, however the event was axed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
NOS Alive has now announced that rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the 2021 festival in exactly a year’s time on Thursday 8th July 2021.
Also on the weekend bill are Alt-J, Fontaines DC, Two Door Cinema Club, Seasick Steve, Angel Olsen, Caribou, Nothing But Thieves, Black Pumas, Parcels, Moses Sumney, Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers, Alec Benjamin and Sea Girls.
NOS Alive 2021 line-up:
With many, many more acts yet to be announced, the 14th NOS Alive takes place from Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Lisbon, Portugal from Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th July 2021.
Those who have tickets to the cancelled NOS Alive 2020 can exchange their tickets for NOS Alive 2021 if they so wish.
The 2019 edition of NOS Alive featured a sumptuous line-up of The Cure, Thom Yorke, Chemical Brothers, Grace Jones, Bon Iver, Smashing Pumpkins, Robyn, Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, Mogwai, Weezer, IDLES and loads more.
Shortly before Christmas, Red Hot ChilI Peppers welcomed feted guitarist John Frusciante back within their ranks a decade after he quit the funk-rock icons.
In January, RHCP drummer Chad Smith told Rolling Stone the band are “concentrating on new songs and writing a new record” and “we’re all real excited to make new music.”
