Ozzy Osbourne to return to the UK later this month to receive Icon Award
His first time on home soil since the Commonwealth Games

Ozzy Osbourne has confirmed he will return to the UK later this month.
The Prince of Darkness hasn’t graced his home nation since his performance of 'Paranoid' at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August 2022 with his former Black Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi.
Yesterday (31st October) it was announced that Ozzy will personally attend the inaugural Rolling Stone UK Awards at The Roundhouse in Camden Town, London on Thursday 23rd November to pick up his Icon Award.
Ozzy won’t perform on the night, but he’ll make a speech on stage when picking up his gong.
Reacting to his Icon Award, Ozzy said: “I don’t know what to say! I wish I felt like a f---ing icon.
“I’ve had a long career and I’ve raised a few f---ing eyebrows along the way, and I’ve met some amazing people too. I’ve done some good gigs and I’ve done some f---ing bad gigs! Thanks very much for giving me this award, it really means a lot to me.”
It’s unclear whether Ozzy is making a flying visit or his permanent move back to the UK.
Due to health setbacks, including a series of operations following a serious fall in his bedroom, Ozzy cancelled his UK & Ireland No More Tours 2 tour earlier this year following a series of postponements.
In 2022, Ozzy told The Guardian he wanted to move back to the UK permanently, saying “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day (in America). God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f---ing crazy."
The Birmingham metal legend added: "I don’t want to die in America… I’m English. I want to be back."
In July 2023, Ozzy revealed he had a blood clot filter removed from one of his arteries, which left him unable to travel to the UK for the unveiling of Ozzy the mechanical bull at Birmingham New Street Station.
Ozzy also didn’t attend the premiere of the Black Sabbath – The Ballet at the Birmingham Hippodrome in September, which saw his former Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi perform ‘Paranoid’ live on stage.
