Oasis have announced 25th anniversary celebrations for their seminal second studio album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’.

Originally released on 2nd October 1995, ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ was undoubtedly one of the defining albums of the Britpop era and the 1990s as a whole.

It’s the fifth best-selling album of all time in the UK having shifted over 4.94million units, and it spawned the towering singles ‘Some Might Say’, ‘Roll With It’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ – the latter of which was recently voted the Greatest Song of the 90s by Absolute Radio listeners.

On Friday 2nd October 2020 – the exact 25th anniversary of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ – Big Brother Recordings will be reissuing the remastered album on a variety of formats.

The formats include a limited edition double heavyweight vinyl picture disc with replica ‘Wonderwall’ lyric sheets, double gatefold vinyl, 25th anniversary cassette, and a 3CD edition that includes the remastered album, a disc of remastered B-sides and a third CD featuring rare demos and live songs recorded at Knebworth House, Maine Road Stadium, Earls Court, and Bath Pavilion.

Oasis officially split in August 2009 just days after they aborted their headline appearance at V Festival in Chelmsford.

Despite numerous pleas (and insults) from Liam Gallagher, older brother Noel has so far refused to get involved with an Oasis reunion.
