The comic has surveyed British parents

The Oasis tribute band trapped in the UK’s highest pub during Storm Arwen has been voted among the Top 20 funniest moments of 2021.
Legendary comic Beano recently surveyed British parents to discover the funniest moments of the past 12 months and today (9th December) they’ve published the Top 20.
Noasis and 60 punters’ enforced three-night stay at the remote Tan Hill Inn pub in the Yorkshire Dales at the end of November was voted in at Number 9 in the Beano’s poll.
Two days after Noasis’ escape, Oasis legend Liam Gallagher commented on the ordeal and said he was “jealous” of the tribute band as he’s “always trying to get a lock in.”
Other moments in Beano’s Top 20 include Marks & Spencer and Aldi’s feud over Colin the Caterpillar, Jackie Weaver’s zoom call with Handforth Parish Council, Miriam Margoyles farting on This Morning and reporter Phil McCann’ reporting on the fuel shortage at a forecourt for BBC.
Beano say their survey was conducted to help lift the nation’s spirits with so much uncertainty in the run up to Christmas.
Mike Stirling, Editorial Director of Beano Studios, says: “There have been so many things that have lifted the nations spirits this year, from sporting successes to massive LOLZ moments, it’s absolutely brilliant to sit back and look at all the moments we’ve laughed at together as a nation.
“We hope this list raises a few smiles and spirits as we look back on the crazy year 2021 has been!”
To help spread more smiles Beano has allocated 2,021 of its special 2021 collectible comic BeOne to give away which features many of the nation’s funniest moments. You can get the comics here.
