Oasis enlist Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight for reunion tour film
It will follow the band on their 2025 tour
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will helm a feature-length documentary film about Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour.
With Steven Knight on production duties, Liam and Noel Gallagher have also drafted in directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace for the project.
Southern and Lovelace previously made LCD’s critically acclaimed 2012 concert film Shut Up and Play the Hits.
The as-yet-untitled documentary film is being produced by Magna Studios (Beastie Boys Story, Gangs of London, 20000 Days On Earth) and will be distributed by Sony Music Vision.
Keeping further information about the reunion tour film under wraps, Oasis said in their statement: “No further details regarding the content of the film will be released at this moment in time.”
Oasis kick of their Live ’25 Tour with two shows at Cardiff Principality Stadium on 4th and 5th July before playing Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
The Gallaghers and co. also perform international dates Asia, Australia, North America and South America throughout the rest of the year.
Yesterday, NME reported that Oasis’ band line-up will feature Bonehead, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and drummer Joey Waronker.
An irate Liam Gallagher reacted to the apparent band line-up leak by voicing his concern about a “mole” in the Oasis camp.
Oasis' reported band line-up:
Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs - guitar
Quoting unnamed 'sources', NME says that Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs will indeed be playing guitar with Oasis.
Gem Archer - guitar
Gem Archer, who played with Oasis from 1999 to 2009 and was a member of Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, will apparently be the band's second guitarist.
Andy Bell - bass
On bass, Andy Bell is said to be returning to the Oasis fold following his stint from his 1999 until their split in 2009. The Ride and Hurricane #1 was also a member of Beady Eye.
Joey Waronker - drums
The only curveball and "new" member that Liam Gallagher teased on X is drummer Joey Waronker, who has played with Beck, R.E.M. and Roger Waters. He was also a member of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Fleas's experimental side-project Atoms for Peace. He also performed on the 'Liam Gallagher John Squire' album in 2024 and hit the road with them.
